1988 Jeep Wrangler Engine Swap?

I am working on a 1988 Jeep Wrangler, it had a built 4.2L 258 from a 1980 AMC Eagle. I removed the engine due to it not starting and failed a leak down test. The top compression rings were broken and dirt seems to be the cause of failure. I was wondering

the 258 was a good motor i would stick with it but find a newer one. these motors are easy to find and relly cheap you might even a free one out there i did! try jeepkings.com
